Harry Head [Parents] 1 was born on 21 Jan 1873. He died on 29 Jan 1952. He married Muriel Emma Tamplin in 1930. Harry was employed as Butcher & Publican.

In 1914/15 Harry Head answered an advert & took a job in Cardiff as manager of a wholesale meat depot. He left his 14 year old son George, behind in lodgings in London as an apprenticed draper. The rest of the family moved to Cardiff establishing a first time connection with the city.In 1930 Much to everyone’s surprise, Harry Head married again - to Muriel Tamplin, a barmaid 30 years his junior, he had met at the Sealawns Hotel in Porthcawl. They took the Cefn Mably Arms, a country inn at Michaelstone-Y-Vedw between Cardiff & Newport.
On 29th January 1952 Harry Head died at the Cefn at the age of 79. A domineering man with the ability to instil awe if not downright fear in many people, he had played the role of the country squire for his last 20 years. His widow Mu, was able to continue running the pub in much the same traditional sort of way.
Muriel Emma Tamplin 1 was born on 13 Nov 1900. She died on 25 Mar 1968. She married Harry Head in 1930.

On 25th March 1968 Muriel Emma Head died & with her went the Cefn Mably Arms. She had run the pub since Harry’s death with his daughter Marjory. But Marge had already had to leave a few weeks earlier for health reasons- she had a leg amputated in Cardiff Royal Infirmary. ‘The Cefn’ had been a centre of family life for nearly 40 years & the scene of many many happy occasions and events. It would be sadly missed.
Julian Mark Head [Parents] 1 was born on 9 Oct 1959. He died on 4 May 2004. He married Helen Lindsey Impey on 2 May 1981 in Cardiff. Julian was employed as Telephone Engineer.
